Living and working by the coast was one of the reasons why we moved down to Cornwall. We are never more at peace than when we are looking out to sea, splashing in the waves or hunting the rocks for sea creatures, so when we were looking for new locations to sell our flapjacks, the beach was an obvious choice. The next decision we had to make was, where.
Again, for us, this was obvious. We visited Duckpool (between Morwenstow and Sandymouth) many times before as it is a great beach for all, dogs, children and grown ups, with lots of space to explore. After lots of discussions and meetings with the National Trust team we were given the license to trade there. We got the van ready, became baristas and took to the beach.
So far it has been great, being welcomed by locals, holiday makers, surfers and walkers. We have even met Jim Morton, who is walking the UK coastline!! We have all enjoyed spending our weekends at the beach, even the fury flapjackers. We can't wait for the rest of the summer.
